1. Who we are
Texas Legal Guide is an attorney search and legal information platform operated by Galaxsen, operated by Hemant Adhikari (5900 Balcones Drive, Ste 100, Austin, TX 78731). This privacy policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information.
2. Information we collect
Attorney directory data. We compile bar-licensed attorney information from public State Bar of Texas records: name, bar number, status, practice areas, office address, discipline status, and (where applicable) board certifications. This is public record information.
User-submitted information. If you submit a contact form, lead-routing form, or attorney-claim form, we collect the information you provide (typically: name, email, phone, county, description of the matter). We store this information to route inquiries and respond to you.
3. How we use information
User-submitted information is used solely to respond to your inquiry, route the inquiry to an appropriate attorney (when you initiate a matching request), and improve the site. We do not sell user-submitted information.
4. Information sharing
We share user-submitted lead information only with attorneys you affirmatively request to be matched with. We do not solicit clients on behalf of attorneys — see Legal Disclaimer for the barratry compliance position.
5. Email addresses
Attorney email addresses are not displayed on this site pursuant to Tex. Gov't Code §§ 552.137 and 552.1176, which exempt certain email addresses from disclosure under the Texas Public Information Act.
6. Data retention
User-submitted lead data is retained for 365 days. Attorney-claim submissions are retained for 90 days after a decision, or for the duration of an active claim. You may request deletion of your information at any time by emailing privacy@texaslegal.guide.
7. Cookies
This site uses no advertising or tracking cookies. We may use a small number of functional cookies (e.g., to remember language preference, if Spanish is later enabled).
8. Children
This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
9. Your rights
If you are a California resident, you have certain rights under the CCPA (right to know, right to delete, right to non-discrimination). If you are an EU/EEA resident, you have certain rights under GDPR (access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection). Email privacy@texaslegal.guide to exercise these rights.
